A Refined Interlocking Backyard & Outdoor Living Redesign

Project Details

Set within one of central Etobicoke’s established neighbourhoods, this backyard renovation elevates a spacious property into a functional and visually appealing outdoor retreat. The project combines approximately 2000 sq ft of hard landscaping with 3000 sq ft of soft landscaping, creating a balanced and inviting environment.

Hardscape features include Mega Melville pavers, Raffinato coping in Black Onyx, and a striking Soho waterfall with a descending sheer. Melville pavers were also used for driveway borders and patio areas, complemented by Sahara Blend Camden steps and Melville curbs for a cohesive, polished look. A concrete section in the back corner adds functional versatility, and an optional front entrance enhancement was also included.

The backyard incorporates a smart drainage system connecting a sump drain and downspouts to a French drain, ensuring effective water management. Installation utilized polymeric sand, aluminum edging, and compacted gravel for long-lasting durability.

Soft landscaping enhances the design with lush grass areas and integrated garden beds, completing the backyard’s inviting aesthetic.
